Putting in a Pool in the Western Suburbs Doesn’t Have to be a Hassle
We’ve all been through it or know someone who has – those frustrating house projects that seem unending, trying to piece together contractors to achieve the end result. It’s aggravating, expensive, and stressful.
At Montano’s Landscaping, one of our primary goals is to make the experience of enhancing your outdoor living space as seamless and enjoyable as possible. That’s why we developed a partnership with one of the most well-respected and highest quality pool & spa builders in the western suburbs – Premier Pools & Spa. We handle the details, and you have a one stop shop to ensure the pool of your dreams is open for swimming in less time than you ever imagined.

Why Premier?
We are very choosy with who we work with at Montano’s. When we were looking to create a partnership with a pool company, Premier was a no-brainer. They installed the pool at our owners’ home 2 years ago, and they have been the designer/installer at a number of our clients’ homes throughout the years with exceptional results. In fact, we are so confident that this is the area’s best pool company, our co-owner, Amanda, is also now one of their sales representatives (and sometimes lovingly referred to as “The Pool Lady”).

Do I Have to Use Premier?
Certainly not! The families with whom we work often choose to have Premier handle their pool and Montano’s handle the pool patio and other landscape design elements because of the streamlined approach (more on that in a minute), but it is 100% their choice if they wish to use someone else for either the pool or the landscape. That said, if you are looking for a hassle-free experience, the best way to achieve that is to use both Premier and Montano’s.

A Singular Point of Contact Makes All the Difference
Let’s take a minute to walk through the process. Amanda will come out to your home for a complimentary consultation, discuss your goals and objectives, and provide counsel on any potential obstacles due to your existing yard (such as grading).
Amanda will contact J.U.L.I.E to come out and mark lines, and you’ll provide your plat of survey. We will also look into restrictions, codes, and guidelines in your municipality. She will then put together designs based upon what you discussed and the limitations that may exist with utilities in your yard. You’ll have the benefit of several design options including different features and representing different price points.
Once you finalize a design, we will work with you to submit for the permit, and we will submit to your HOA, if you have one. Sounds pretty simple, doesn’t it?

Okay, but How Long Before I Have a Pool?
Well, that depends a bit on where you live. After the contract is signed, it may take up to a couple or a few months. We wait until the permit is approved to order materials in case any changes need to be made. It may then take up to 4 weeks for materials to arrive, but rest assured, we will do any site preparation we can while we wait.
If you are only having a pool installed, plan on 6-8 weeks (including the necessary inspections throughout the construction process and accounting for potential weather delays). If you’re having us install a patio and landscape features such as retaining walls, an outdoor kitchen, or a pergola, that will take another 1-3 weeks. Keep in mind that timelines are always based upon your specific project, and these are just general estimates.
There are plenty of companies out there who may quote you a shorter timeframe, but then when the project begins, you may find that it gets pushed out. One of the things we pride ourselves on is that you will always be informed. With Amanda serving as your project manager from the word go, you will know the schedule of when we will be at your home and if there are any unforeseen delays.
